Cast and Crew Biographies

 

 

 

TYLER CLEGG (Wickersham Brother #1) Tyler is a fifth-grade student at North Royalton Middle School and is 11 years old, turning 12 on July 23rd. He has been playing piano for five years and has been in choir at North Royalton Middle School, where he was picked as a soloist in his concert. Tyler is interested in singing and acting. He also plays soccer, golf, and tennis, and was nominated for “Pride of NRMS.”

 

 

NICOLE CLARK (Ensemble) Nicole Clark will be a junior at Revere High School in the fall. She is a returning member of the Spotlights, having appeared in Schoolhouse Rock Live! last summer. Nicole he has appeared in her school productions of Arsenic and Old Lace as Officer Klein and The Music Man as Mrs. Paroo. She has also performed with Brecksville Theater on the Square in various productions. She is an active member of her school marching band and a member of the Revere High Mock Trial team. Nicole would like to thank her friends for their support and her family for their astounding tolerance for her.

 

 

GEORGE COSTANZO (Wickersham Brother #3) George is going into the 6th grade at Brecksville-Broadview Heights Middle School. He loves lots of things, but acting is his favorite. George has been in five shows starring when he was in the 2nd grade! His favorite show (besides this one, of course) was A Slight Case of Murder at Brunswick ACT. George looks forward to working with and meeting everyone here at Broadview Heights Spotlights and especially wants to thank his family for all their support.

 

 

MARK GULICK (The Cat in the Hat) Mark started his acting career when Mrs. Phil Valley suggested him as a choir boy for a BBHHS Spring Musical when he was in the 5th grade. Once he attended the high school, he became a member of the Drama Club and has worked on both fall and spring musical plays. If he is not on the stage, he is working on set-building. His finest moment occurred during Jabberwocky, when he received cat calls and whistles while he jogged around the stage in his boxers — “thank Tim!” Mark has been active in Marching Band, Choir, Music in Motion, Indoor Drum Line, Project Support, and he was a diver for the Swim Team. He will be a senior at BBHHS this fall. After graduation he plans to attend Tri-C to get those basics out of the way and then transfer to a 4-year college. He hopes to become a video game designer. Mark is pleased to be “The Cat” and would like to thank those who have come out to support both him and the Spotlights.

 

 

CODY HERNANDEZ (Horton the Elephant) Cody will be a junior at Revere High School this year and is very excited to be playing the role of Horton in this musical. This is his first performance at Broadview Heights Spotlights Theater. Cody has been in other productions at school including Robin Hood, Grease, Arsenic and Old Lace, and The Music Man. He is excited to entertain his audience and put smiles on their faces. He plans to attend college with a major in musical theater and minor in advertising.

 

 

SAVANNA HERSHMAN (The Grinch) This is Savanna’s first time on the Broadview Heights stage; however, she has acted in the Dullsville Mystery, Mac the Yak Goes to Camp, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, and many other productions. In August, Savanna will be in eighth grade show choir at North Royalton Middle School. Between acting, singing, and school, she enjoys hanging out with her friends, distance running, and playing soccer. She would like to thank her family and friends for supporting her all the way through auditions, rehearsals, and now performances. She says, “Thanks guys!”

 

 

DANA HETRICK (Ensemble) Dana will soon be a sophomore at Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School where she is a member of the Drama Club and choir. Outside of school, Dana is an avid music-listener. She has appeared on stage in Annie, Jr.; High Society; and last summer’s production of Schoolhouse Rock Live! at Spotlights Theater.

 

 

ALEXANDRA KRUSE (Mayzie) Alex is an upcoming sophomore at Laurel School. This is her fourth show at Spotlights and she’s happy to be back at her summer home. Favorite shows include A Little Princess, Pocahontas, Schoolhouse Rock Live!, and Damn Yankees. In her free time, she enjoys skiing, participating on her school’s Speech and Debate team, and being a goalie for the Laurel soccer team. She would like to thank Amy and Tim for all their hard work and dedication, her parents for spending $4 a gallon to drive her across town, and Deebs for putting up with her all these years.

 

 

PETER LANDOLL (Wickersham Brother #4) Peter is making his Spotlights debut in Seussical, Jr. He has performed in school productions at Assumption Academy, most recently as Schroeder in You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown; he also appeared as Jasper in the Spotlights Summer Theater Camp production of 101 Dalmatians Kids. In addition to theater, Peter enjoys playing alto and tenor saxophone and working with computers. He volunteers at his church and is a Boy Scout. He will be a freshman at St. Ignatius in the fall and is looking forward to marching band next week! Peter would like to say thanks to his new new friends from Seuss for welcoming him and for the great summer.

 

 

CHRISSY MARGEVICIUS (Vlad Vladakoff) Chrissy is 10 years old and goes to North Royalton Middle School. She just finished her role in Mulan this past June at the Royalton Players. Chrissy has been acting for four years. This is her 12th show. In her spare time, Chrissy likes to dance, play piano, and most definitely sing. Special thanks goes out to her mom, dad, and her brother Nick for supporting her in anything she does.

 

 

MADDIE PIERCE (Sour Kangaroo) Maddie is 11 years old, home-schooled, and will be in 7th grade. She has been in a number of plays in North Royalton and Brecksville. This is her first show at Broadview Heights Spotlights. Maddie enjoys swimming, dancing, acting, singing and hanging out with friends. She hopes to become a singer, dancer, or actress, but she has a lot of time to think of other possibilities. Maddie thanks God, the crew and her family for being supportive, and also her mom for driving her. She hopes everyone enjoys the show.

 

 

SETH REICHENBACH (JoJo) Eleven year old Seth attends North Royalton Middle School and is going into sixth grade. He has been in several shows, including Lost for Words, Fractured Fairytales, and Harry Potter. Seth’s hobbies are reading and acting. He would like to thank everyone who attends the show and his family who gives him a ton of support.

 

 

KRISTA SHORF (Bird Girl) Krista is 16 years old and will be a senior this year at Nordonia High School where she has appeared as a Marian-the-Librarian dancer in Music Man (2006). She was also a Burger-Palace girl in Grease (2008). Krista is very active in her high school’s drama club, both on stage and off. She served as dance captain for this year’s production of Grease. She has also worked with hair and makeup crew and served as secretary and publicity manager on the executive board. Krista is a member of the International Thespian Society and the National Honor Society. She is currently ranked 8th in her class. Krista is a 3-year member of the Nordonia High School Symphonic Choir and a current member of the Rhythm of the Knights Show Choir, both under the direction of Mr. David Aberth. Krista can also be seen this summer in The Sound of Music as the Mother Abbes with North Royalton Players. In her spare time, Krista enjoys singing, dancing, swimming, driving around aimlessly, and shopping. She would like to thank her parents, the directors (Amy and Tim), and the cast of Seussical, Jr.

 

 

DEVIN SUTTER (Gertrude McFuzz) Devin will be a sophomore in the fall at Saint Vincent Saint Mary High School. She enjoys acting, singing and running cross-country. This is her fourth year at Broadview Heights Spotlights. Previous shows include Alice in Wonderland, Schoolhouse Rock Live!, The Miracle Worker, and A Little Princess. She would like to thank Tim and Amy for basically living at the theater this summer, and her parents for driving across town every day for rehearsal with gas at four dollars a gallon. She would also like to thank Nikki for dealing with her the entire summer. Best of luck to  the cast and thanks for such an amazing time!

 

 

ANDREW ROSSELOT (Wickersham Brother #2) Andrew, 10, will be in the 4th grade at St. Barnabas School this fall. Andrew has participated in theater camps at the Brecksville Theater on the Square and Broadview Heights Spotlights Theater. He performed a Jungle Book skit with his father at last fall’s Enchanted Hollow and was a member of the children’s chorus at St. Peter Chanel High School’s production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. In addition to the theater, Andrew enjoys running cross-country and track, and competing in the Macedonia Manta Rays swim team. He would like to thank Broadview Heights Spotlights for many wonderful opportunities and also his family for all their support.

 

 

TIFFANY SCHMIDT (Bird Girl) Tiffany has portrayed Mrs. Walker in Tommy by the Who and Essie in You Can’t Take It with You. She has also been in Schoolhouse Rock Live! and High Society. Tiffany has done choreography, lights, and sound for a middle school production called Stacks of Wax. She thanks her Grandma for just being amazing.

 

 

ELI SHIVELY (Mr. Mayor) Eli is going into 6th grade at Brecksville-Broadview Heights Middle School. Previously he had been in two theater camp plays, had a lead role in a church play, and was in a few school plays. Eli enjoys playing many sports such as baseball and basketball. He also plays percussion in band and has played piano for three years. Eli thanks his family for supporting him in all the shows he’s been in.

 

 

NICOLE TOMAK (Bird Girl) Nicole will be a senior At Nordonia High School. She is a member of the Rhythm of the Knights Show Choir at her school and takes voice lessons from Megan Elk at the Aurora School of Music. She recently appeared in her school’s production of Grease (2008) as a Beauty-School-Dropout-Girl and last year’s production of South Pacific (2007) as a Nurse. She will also be appearing in North Royalton Players’ production of The Sound of Music as Frau Schmidt and a nun. Nicole is Costume Manager on her school’s Drama Club Executive Board for the upcoming school year. In her free time, Nicole enjoys drawing, painting, baking cookies, being with her friends, and anything music-related. She would like to thank her family—especially her parents; her vocal coach Megan Elk; her school’s choir director, David Aberth; directors Amy McSweeney and Tim Anderson; and the rest of the cast for such an amazing time.

 

 

LINDSAY TRYON (Mayor’s Wife) This is Lindsay’s third year at the Spotlights Theater. She played the role of Lottie in A Little Princess and Esther Finley in Pocahontas. She is happy to be back with Directors Amy and Tim this year. Lindsay will turn 13 this fall and is entering 8th grade at Brecksville-Broadview Heights Middle School. She plays piano and violin and performs with the Brecksville Center for the Arts Children’s Chorus. In her spare time, Lindsay likes to read, play with her dog Missy, do carpentry, sing, play video games and play with her friends. Lindsay would like to give a special thanks to all her friends and family for their encouragement during her plays.

 

 

JESSY YATES (Yertle the Turtle) Jessy is excited to return to the stage in her sixth theatrical production. Previous roles include the teacher in Schoolhouse Rock Live!, a narrator in 101 Dalmatians Kids! Griselda in Rumplestiltskin, Templeton in Charlotte’s Web, and Glumpwart in Rapunzel. As an active member of The Singing Angels, Jessy has performed in Italy, Greece, and Turkey as well as on many stages across northeastern Ohio. Jessy is going to be a freshman at Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School. She enjoys being involved in school activities such as Student Council, Yearbook, and Spanish Club. In addition to acting and singing, Jessica likes to hang out with her friends and shop. She would like to thank her family for their support and hopes everyone enjoys the show.

 

 

AMY McSWEENEY (Director) Amy McSweeney has been involved with Spotlights since the very first Enchanted Hollow and currently sits on the Board of Directors. Seussical, Jr. is the third production she has directed for Spotlights. Amy has been involved with the previous four youth productions. Over the last 30 years Amy has worked with many community theaters but has recently been involved with Independence and Brecksville Little Theater. Along with community theater, she has also enjoyed being involved with two of the Brecksville-Broadview Heights Middle School musicals. When not doing theater, she is a property manager for Windsor Management and manages two buildings in Broadview Heights. Amy would like to thank all of the parents for making it possible for their children to be involved.

 

TIM ANDERSON (Music Director) Tim Anderson has enjoyed the experience of working on this complex production. Previously at Spotlights, Tim has directed Pocahontas, Sorry Wrong Number/The Hitchhiker, and A Little Princess. At North Royalton High School, Tim has served as assistant director for the productions of Guys and Dolls, The Glass Menagerie, and Annie. Locally, he’s been seen on stage at the Beck Center for the Arts in Lakewood in My Favorite Year and Beauty and the Beast. Other performance credits include Bye, Bye Birdie (Albert), You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown (Charlie Brown), and Big River (Tom Sawyer). Later this summer, Tim can be seen as Geoffrey in the Spotlights’ production of Something’s Afoot.
